Public Group active 1 year, 2 months agoIt’s the thing that D2R Items makes Diablo 4 distinctive–we don’t end up at the same place. There are lots of games where when you’re done all of the players are the same however, that’s not true in D4. This is why I think players are going to love the brand new Paragon system.
That idea is so much richer than we’ve ever had before with a Paragon system. When you think about what it can affect your character, you’ll be determined to find the best path to take through the entire board. When you are ready to connect the next board you’ll be able to rotate it to choose the path you’d like to take. It’s a great system.
The way that endgames are played typically occurs is that players who make it there eventually are funneled into certain builds for some meta. What is the viability of different build options? Does it seem like anyone can come up with a good way to really win in the end or eventually will you need to optimize, and basically everyone’s going to possess a very similar form of model?
Shely shely: Well, I’d like to say that as players learn to appreciate a game, they naturally come across powerful outcomes, however, our designing team is working really hard to develop a vast range of possible builds, for example, at the endgame, so that the concept of players’ choice is not lost.
In addition, you were talking about the Paragon board. You can put it onto the board and can upgrade your build by completing Nightmare dungeons. Therefore, there’s plenty of variety available in the build itself. Because Diablo 4 is a live service, we’ll continue to mix up the game so that we’re sure that there’s constantly a range of designs that work and you’re not focused into one particular build.
Fegusson Then, as an inexperienced player, you’ll see that things are categorized by certain methods that make it easier to understand, for example, “Oh, this could be pulling me towards something.” This is why you can see that the Necromancer, for a great example, is a category for blood magic. Or a category of buy diablo 2 resurrected items bones magic or there’s the category of shadow magic and your summoner abilities.
