Even though that’s not a lot nowadays, and a large portion of that great Blizzard team has left in the game industry, for a valid reason, Diablo is a franchise that has significance. In all its legendary history as a series, this is only the fourth mainline game. Diablo 2 Resurrected can be a game that causes the industry to stop and pay attention to Blizzard once more, but this time for the right reasons.
Although some might be skeptical about the idea of having Diablo 2 Resurrected followers, some may love their or dislike them, the helpful companions have become an integral part of the action RPG game’s combat. I inquired with Blizzard what their plans are regarding aides in Diablo 2 Resurrected, and while they didn’t reveal much but it appears that followers will be added to the roster at some point.Speaking to lead class designer Adam Z. Jackson in the wake after the Diablo 2 Resurrected gameplay preview, I asked if the follower system could be more akin to that of Diablo 2 or Diablo 3 in the event that one existed in any way.
