I believe that the thing we failed to WOTLK Gold do a good job of in the announcement of World of Warcraft : Immortal was contextualizing what the future will bring and how we view mobile, specifically. The major thing that was left out, that we didn’t do a good job emphasising twice, is that we are a PC-based developer first. Then, we seek out other platforms that we think are great and support the kinds of gaming experiences that align with the type of games we want to play and values we wish to put forth into the world. An example is, there was a tiny some backlash after we announced that we were going to transfer World of Warcraft to console and console.

We ported it to both on the Xbox and PlayStation platforms. The year before, we announced World of Warcraft for the Nintendo Switch. And the reason for that is that we believe that’s a great game which will really play effectively on these platforms.

If we consider what the mobile experience will be in the future for Blizzard in the future, we think that mobile doesn’t need to provide a less-quality experience. We think we could create Blizzard-quality games. We believe we can offer Blizzard values regarding monetization and we believe it will be a memorable experience. Additionally, World of Warcraft : Immortal is a game has been in development for quite a few years at this point and we’re thrilled with the progress it’s making. We’re excited to let players experience it once it’s time to release it.

However, the first thing to remember is that I believe that the issue that was not mentioned, and I’m not saying enough about it, is that we are an PC developer that also looks into opportunities for other operating systems. You’ll need to show that you’re PC-first of developer and company and publisher. Are you aware of the resentment from fans? in the moment they’re thinking “Yeah, but this is an mobile device, but that’s not who you are.”

In retrospect, I believe we’ve had a really honest look at ourselves, post-BlizzCon looking at the reactions of the fans. It’s the job of trying to understand really deeply, that reaction. We didn’t succeed in convincing our fans that we’re not going to give up PC in favor of console and mobile. This message wasn’t communicated in a manner that I’d say, if were to return, we’d definitely be able to do.

It’s easy to understand how fans react to the statement “I’m an avid Blizzard fan. Blizzard, just keep making PC games like you’ve always done. Much like the ones I love. This makes me smile.”But, I think if you think about the world, and you are thinking about gaming, it’s difficult to imagine that anyone who is a core PC Blizzard fan today also hasn’t played with consoles, or mobile platforms during their work, or in their life, rather.

Some mobile games are very well-made, while other games on mobile are awfully bad similar to every other platform. But we do think there is an chance for gamers to play and enjoy games that are on the very highest level of cheap WOW WOTLK Classic Gold quality which we truly love which we believe in, as part of the Blizzard IP. This is the lens used for World of Warcraft .
