A few suggestions on the OSRS barding skills
Public Group active 4 years agoI like the fundamental idea of RS Gold the skill, and also the way you’ve approached the training process. The battling looks cool and the gameplay loop seems to be afk. This is a complicated concept, however, with many things to think about, many of which are rather large.
It’s a fact that there’s too much in one update this one. It would be by far the biggest update OSRS has ever had. With this much to do surveying, the task is difficult. I would like to see that polls could be divided into sections for something like this.
The obsidian and granite that can be made into craftable pickaxes I’m not a massive enthusiast of, particularly since dragon axes/pickaxes have some level of difficulty in acquiring the. Also, I don’t enjoy the buffs for songs – to me, they promote the use of a bizarre type of gameplay where you have to do much moving around just to chop your trees in a way that is efficient.
This influence mechanism is cool and I really like the way it works.
Echos are great, do I understand correctly they’re like shooting stars or implicits, in that they randomly will pop up in your gameplay?
The hymns of the old days are too complicated and come with a few difficulties. First off, they give an increasing amount of interesting rewards starting at levels 75-99. How excited are you going to feel about your 22nd hymn, considering it’s one of your last picks? This is a complete the relic system and has the possibility of relic regret also. Training a whole level to rectify a mistake doesn’t sound fun. While storing pieces of the puzzle in your bank account that you cannot perform any action until you’ve finished them can be quite a bit annoying (although it’s already been done in the past with things such as dark totems, brimstone rings). I’d say no to this method completely.
The raid being only unlocked at level 80 is very high. Tempoross and Wintertodt both took a decent amount of time to develop for bosses which only touched on one skill. So asking for a complex Bard-only raid that features five bosses is a huge time consuming task that IMO could be used elsewhere in the game. At least to start with the musical battles are a intricate and engaging mechanic that I don’t think that you require to have a raid.
Overall, I really love it. I can remember your previous bard suggestion, my favorite thing about it was that it makes the most sense to me out of any ability I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely medieval, it’s unique that it can’t be performed as an actual game, etc. It’s definitely the kind of skill I’d prefer to cheap runescape accounts see more of but perhaps with a bit more simplicity.
