Stranger Things actor David Harbour has WOTLK Gold stated that being in World of Warcraft was the “most embarrassing thing” for him and that playing the game thoroughly “ruined my life for like an entire year.”
“In 2005. I got crap out of this game! It destroyed my life for about a year. I’m talking about, I was completely out of my mind. I was completely addicted to the video games. I was a Night Elf warrior called Norad and he was the second tank in my entire guild,” Harbour said in Stranger Things video for Netflix (via PC Gamer).
The actor then said he was a player in The Sims quite a lot but he also had one profound experience in the game that changed his real life.
“It’s hilarious because I participated in The Sims. You can become acting on the Sims. You can progress in your career, but what you have to do is, like working on your skills. You have to concentrate on your speaking and on your body? I remember my avatar got to a certain point in his career, and I tried to convince him to work on speaking,” Harbour said. “He was like a second-string player and I was trying to get him to work on the body and his speech as well, but all he wanted to do was to sit down playing video games. And then I thought”whoa whoa I was in a vortex moment where I saw my life unfold before me.”
Harbour’s Stranger Things co-star Winona Ryder said a real-life actor who was playing The Sims may “really cause a lot of trouble for you,” and buy WOW WOTLK Classic Gold Harbour agreed. “That’s the way it went,” Harbour said. “And that’s why my entire life was in danger.”WoW launched in 2004 and is still going strong today, with a new expansion–Dragonflight–in the works for release as the game’s ninth expansion.
